Privacy policy
Five Lunches (“the app”) is a weekly packed-lunch planner published by OneSip Technologies Ltd. This policy describes how the iOS app handles information. The marketing site at fivelunches.app is static and does not collect personal data beyond normal web server logs operated by our host (Cloudflare).
Summary
- No account is required. There is no sign-in and no backend that stores your lunch plans.
- Your week plans, grocery lists, and eat logs live in a local SQLite database on your device.
- Child profiles use a first name or nickname only. We do not ask for date of birth, photos, school logins, or other sensitive child data.
- Product analytics are off by default and only run if you turn them on in Settings.
- In-app purchases use Apple and RevenueCat; we do not receive your card details.
- Local notifications, if you enable them, are scheduled on your device and are not sent to our servers.
Data stored on your device
The app stores lunch plans, food choices, grocery checklist state, eat-rate logs, reminder preferences, and optional first-name labels for children locally using SQLite. Deleting the app removes this data from your device unless you have a device-level backup that includes app data.
Seed and example names in the app may include generic names such as “Leo” or “Sam”. You choose what to enter for your own household.
What we do not collect in the app
- No child date of birth, school name, photos, or school portal credentials
- No sharing of your food lists or child labels to our servers for sync
- No sale of personal information
The app may show nut-related warnings based on food data you manage locally. It does not provide medical advice, allergy certification, or school approval.
Optional analytics (PostHog, EU)
If you enable analytics in Settings, the app sends a small set of
allowlisted, anonymous events to PostHog’s
EU instance (eu.posthog.com). Analytics are
disabled until you opt in. Autocapture and session replay are not used.
We do not send food names, child labels, or free-text content in these
events.
Purchases (RevenueCat)
A one-time lifetime unlock is offered via Apple In-App Purchase. RevenueCat
(RevenueCat privacy policy)
helps validate entitlements. Apple processes payment. Identifiers involved
in purchase validation may include an anonymous app user ID and receipt
data as required by Apple and RevenueCat. Product identifiers in the app
(for example entitlement premium and product
lunchbox_week_lifetime) are fixed technical names and are
not changed when marketing names update.
Notifications
If you turn on lunch reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Notification content is generated on-device; we do not operate a push notification server for this feature.
Technical identifiers
The iOS bundle identifier is
com.onesiptech.lunchboxweek. This technical ID may appear in
App Store, purchase, and crash reports from Apple’s systems.
Children
The app is intended for parents and carers organising packed lunches. It is not directed at children to use on their own, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
